Hybrid engines with start-stop systems endure more stress than typical car engines because the increased frequency of engine re-starts puts extra loads and stresses in the valve train and throughout the crankshaft. Sludge and varnish along with wear on the valve train and piston rings are also slightly worse for hybrid engines compared to non-hybrid engines. This results in high pressure and temperature inside the cylinders and requires an oil that can withstand these conditions.

PETRONAS Syntium 7000 Hybrid 0W-20 is a fully synthetic engine oil developed to provide protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) for turbo charged direct injection petrol powered vehicles and meets the latest API SN Plus specification. It is a dedicated and suitable oil for petrol-electric hybrid vehicles.

The exclusive CoolTech formulation fights excessive engine heat by targeting critical heat zones and effectively absorbing & transferring the heat and regulating the temperature, defending the engine critical components from damage and loss of performance.
